Snow was general over the Burren

Ah, yes – we did filch the title of this post from James Joyce.

When you paraphrase … make sure that you paraphrase the best.

Welcome!

It’s been a while since there was activity on this site – we hope to remedy that over the next few months. As we head towards Christmas, there is a hint of hibernation about the countryside. But, don’t let that fool you – nothing ever quite hibernates in Hibernia! And here in the Burren, we’re no different.

This is a beautiful part of the world and, thanks to a drop in temperatures, it was hushed and snowy recently.

John O’Connor was out with his camera: He kindly shared this atmospheric film with us. And we are sharing it with you!

A very Happy Christmas to all our visitors past, visitors present, and visitors yet to come.

From all of us in the beautiful Burren Geopark, and Ballyvaughan.
